A full description of the process is as follows:
Referral
Evaluation
CPSE CSE Meeting based on the type of CSE being held the team includes: parents, regular education teacher, special education teacher, school psychologist, parent member, district representative, and any other individual having knowledge or special expertise about the student
CPSE CSE Committee Decision
Does the child have an educational disability?
Does the child need special educational services?
CPSE CSE Committee develops the IEP together
CPSE CSE Committee determines services, programs, placement
CPSE CSE Committee reviews IEP at least once every school year
CPSE CSE Committee does a reevaluation of the student at least every three years or more frequently if parents and school agree, but not more that one time per year
